PT. Nankai Indonesia Expands its Production with New Factory in Jember
October 8, 2025
PT. Nankai Indonesia previously centered its barecore production at its second facility, the Lumajang factory. Following damage caused by the eruption of Mount Semeru in December 2021, the company established a new facility in Jember Regency. This strategic move not only restores previous barecore capacity but also drives the long-term growth of the Nankai Plywood Group. Furthermore, the new facility will introduce high-strength product lines, including specially processed Falcata plywood and Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL).
Similar to Lumajang, Jember Regency is a major hub for Falcata cultivation, providing an excellent geographical advantage for sourcing raw materials. Additionally, its location along the main east-west national highway ensures optimal logistics and transportation.
Operations will commence with the barecore production line, with the new product lines being phased in incrementally as organizational structures and systems reach full operational capacity.
